Personal and professional opinions on makeup

◦Makeup from a personal view:
My journey with makeup started during the COVID19 lockdown when I was 15 years old. At first, I just wanted to feel prettier as I suffered since 4thgrade with how I viewed myself and I always compared myself to others not realizing I was putting myself down.
I always found everyone beautiful except for myself not realizing the damage I was causing to my inner child and future me. Little by little I started discovering makeup and having a strong desire to try and make myself feel better about myself.
As much as I desired this change I never actually had the courage to take this step as I was afraid of not feeling pretty even after trying it.
In 2019 the whole world went into lockdown due to COVID19 aka coronavirus.
This period was the push for me to enter the beauty world. At first, it started with mascara. It made me feel better about myself even though looking back now the amount of mascara I wore then was less than one coat but it still made me feel better about myself.
“This site will be your guide for beauty on a budget, of course sephora and ulta beauty are the heaven for beauty and skin care lovers but let’s find the best products without breaking the bank”
During this phase I forgot that the sole purpose of me trying makeup was to just feel better about myself. I loved how it had so many different styles, it felt like art to me.
Slowly, I started to realize that what made me feel better about myself wasn’t about how I felt wearing makeup but about the feeling of finally having something I was passionate about, not to mention how the sole idea of me starting to take care about myself changed a lot about me and my mental health. Turns out it was never about peoples’ opinions but about mine.
At the end of the day, you could either be your biggest supporter or your biggest hater and that is a journey that only you can decide. For me it was make up that helped me realize myself, for you it’s your own story that only you have the access to its pen.
◦from a professional’s view:
For some, it is a way to enhance their natural beauty and feel more confident. For others, it is a way to express themselves creatively and experiment with different looks. Still others wear makeup as a way to conform to societal expectations of beauty.
Whatever the reason, there is no doubt that makeup can be a powerful tool for self-expression. It can help people feel more confident and put-together, and it can also be a lot of fun to experiment with. Let your imagination run wild. There’s a makeup style out there for everyone.
